Hey how's it going? I have a 91 accord show car that I want to add some hp too so of course I was thinking of doing a h22 DOHC vtech swap with a manual tranny (it's stock auto), but my buddy has an h23 non vtech that he want's to sell me for $500. What are some pros and cons to the two? Is it more cost effective for one or the other? I'm not looking to set track records or anything since I am show I have some xtra weight but I would like to kick some off the ugly azz neons in the area? Thanks in advance for anyones help!

well vtech is a phone, but i hear honda makes vtec.

h22 manual is the only way to go. 30-40 hp (depending on usdm or jdm) more than the h23, and you get vtec

If you got loot to drop go with the H22, the H23 will be a mild upgrade from what you have now.

What year Accord? If you have a 90-93 turbo is a cheap and easy alternative. It will make more power and Tq then a H22 swap and cost 2K less.
