91 civic dx B16A vtec wire question.

hey i got a 91 civic dx hatch..with a obd0 B16A and on the ECU harness and plug A where the vtec wire goes theres a yellow wire and i cant find whats its for on a SI its a empty spot and i think i just add the vtec wire ..but what do u do with the yellow wire for a dx ?and what is it for?? do i just cut it and add vtec?
oh and is already changed to mpfi ...could someone please help me out .thanks

Cut it off leave about an inch or so and solder the vtec wire on it, I was freaking out about cutting that wire too, but it will be fine.
