91 Civic Hatch Ignition

I have a 91 civic hatch that doesnt start all the time. Ive been told its most like a bad ignition switch is this true? if so how hard is it to install the ignition switch yourself? If not then what else might it be?

when you say it doesn't start all the time do you mean that it doesn't crank, or it cranks and doesn't fire?
it could be anything from a low battery to a bad ignition switch, to a faulty pgmfi relay, even a bad engine ground
all of these things are easy to fix, grab a service manual and check it out.

alright thanks will do. Im not totally sure my self at the moment because im in the process of purchasing it from my friend and he says it does that sometimes.
