91 crx/d16a1 swap need help

Hi i'm new at this i am trying my hardest to do a d16a1(out of a 89 teggy) swap in my 91 crx. I heard from a lot of ppl that this will not work but i'm very bored of my d15(8vale) engine. i have a engine but i do not have a tranny and i don't know wich one to use. help please

your stock tranny will bolt up

Yeah it's really isn't meant for the 88-91 civic/crx at all it's for the 86-89 integra or 85-87 civic/crx....I would sell that engine and use your money to get the DOHC ZC blacktop or d16a6 both will bolt in on stock mounting locations and use the transmission from any 88-91, plus they are relatively cheap to get.
