I got a new toy a couple weeks back. A 91 Civic DX Hatch.
I would like to replace the engine with a fresh one and convert it to manual.

Im looking in to buying this when i get my income taxes. (engine and tranny)

I am right in the fact that its a drop in swap besides the auto/manual conversion and DPFI to MPFI right?

    Update:
I have read around im just double checking. Plus with all the different ZC's out there its hard to know if im reading about this exact engine im buying.

Im not looking for much in power gains just a good replacement.

ok , A good replacement in my opinion, would be a d16z6 found on the 92-95 civix ex, on which you can use your own DX tranny, besides the MPFI conversion you would need an 0bd1 jumper for your ecu , they are 75 bucks shipped on ebay and then a chipped p28(so that you won't have to deal with the o2 conversion for 50 bucks) I'm only suggesting this engine because of it's great aftermarket support and they can be had from as cheap as 100 to 400 bucks, Good luck!

Thanks but im not really worried about aftermarket support. Just a engine replacement to put a million miles on and drive it till the day i die. :D

Im looking to buy 2 more hatches when income tax comes in. Then we can talk about a d16z6.

Just wanna know if i get a OBD0 ZC is it a drop in?

I was thinking about not even doing the MPFI conversion. I can just put my DPFI intake mani on the ZC right?

    Update:
Another reason i want to buy the ZC swap is cause i was gonna get the 5-speed manual trans with it. Mines auto and i want to swap in a manual.

just go ahead and do the mpfi swap its not hard and the motor you are wanting to put in there uses a mpfi so there for you need to do it anyways its not that hard even if you buy a harness from montech on here i done the swap and i like it myself and i'm thinking about doin the same thing you are goin to do

Yes, Your dpfi intake should fit the SOHC ZC engine but I would recomend against that route. Your car should run alot better if you convert to MPFI and use the intake on the motor. If you do the mpfi conversion you will want a PM6 ecu out of a si.

yeah FOR THAT MUCH you might as well buy my crx,a newer engine than that and comes with free hasport mounts, skunk2 mani, skunk2 coilovers and a lot more and it's only 50 dollars more, AND it has a crx that comes with it hahahahaha, this is ridiculous, i can't believe it's this hard to sell my crx , it's the cheap as gas that's faken me, sorry for the rant but yeah, think about it ;).
ps: you can part out the crx and get at least 500 back no kidding lol.
