so when the car is cold and i start it the idle bonce up and down and when i un hook the vacum line that goes to the map sensor it idles fine and when the car i warm i plug in the vacum line and it runs good so this is probly and dumb ??? does that mean that the map sensor is bad any input will help

Have you checked the map sensor plug it could be a bad plug I was having a similar prob but just take a look at the plug itself hope that helps

is the timing belt on the h23a vtec the same as the h22a

the h23 is non vtec

DO I HAVE TO CHANGE OUT THE ECU WHEN I DO THE CONVERTION ON THE TRASMISSION FROM AUTO TO MANUAL

No, but there will be a CEL. If you're willing to open up the ECU there's a way to convert it(depending on ECU it could just be moving a resistor, jumping a resistor, and/or removing a resistor).
