I'm down wit it....nad-da-mean? One phrase kids use that drives me nuts is the sacrastic comment, "I'm sure!" I tell boys, "That's what chicks say....please find something else to say." As they fight the urge to repeat themselves lmao. Or, I tell them, "On the really real......not the fakie fake." But, I'm a little country and didn't know how much until college. I say twangy stuff like, "I tell yew whut...."

"I'm sure" - Valley Girl vernacular from the 80's. "Gag Me With a Spoon" is another from that era, as is "Totally Awesome" and a still much used favorite "Gnarly". Let's not forget "Dude".....

San Fernando Valley, CA - lived there briefly back about 1961. Reseda, Canoga Park, Northridge, 1000 Oaks, Chatsworth, Van Nuys, North HIlls, Granada Hills, Studio City. Reseda is the porn capitol of the world. :)

Good 'ol 80's. But......kids in CA brought it back. Sadly, boys say it a ton. Valley Girl meets self-entitled young males.

Do it in the car? That's remotely possible, but I would suggest highly unlikely as a valid solution. With the age, mileage and condition of the engine it's more than likely it's beyond a hone and re-ring scenario, and most likely needs to be bored.

How will he know if it's a candidate for hone and re-ring. I doubt he has the measuring tools or experience to know. Once it's torn down that far, it's not much more work to just pull the tranny/block. Re-assembly on an engine stand, -vs- crawling under the car is well......

How hard is it to write the? And because? Why is it ok to substitute ain't for isn't? Why is it so hard to end a sentence with a .? Why is it so hard to write for? Fo isn't an ok substitution.... And neither is da. I don't understand any of this... The level of ignorance towards decent grammar and the level of acceptance of all this crap.... It's terrible...

There, now dc won't fuck me up too! :) I agree with his point, this is a technical forum, not an english or spelling class. Da ghetto vernacular dont hep things.

I'm thinking if the cat is in good shape, even oil smoke can be white in apprearance at the tail pipe. Maybe not.

Is it showing signs of burning oil as in needs a quart added every couple of fill ups?

What about the cooling system? Does it need to be re-filled frequently?

It's either burnning oil, coolant or both.

It's probably annoying to many, he's just the first to make mention of it. Offended, not affended. Recemmend using a spell checker, and please start sentences with Capitol letters.

Yea he can do it from underneath. My engine is from a 88 dx and had about 220000 on it and it was smoking bad like a half a quart every three days. Its daily drivin. All i did was blocked the bottom of the cylinders with clean rags and honed it out real good and reringed it and put the bottom half in.You know rod and main bearings.Hey it worked for me each to there own.
