92 Civic Turbo

i have a 92 civic si and want to turbo it, i havn"t picked one yet but i have a more pressing question, with the stock internals i was wondering what kind of boost levels i can get [4-5psi]? and still have a working engine when i hit the finish line and what kind of horse power can i see.

from what i researched on the net...

the y8 engine (96 ex) can hold up to 10psi on stock internals.....
some RARE cases i read about guys who run 13 or so psi on their daily driver sohc's.

if ur looking for a 12-13 or below second car, dont boost ur 1.6
get a swap.

otherwise enjoy the 14 seconds and the knowledge that u can reliably smoke
some guys with swaps.
