So I have a civic with 191K miles and it will need a motor by the spring time. I read that the B16A2 is a good choice since I'd like some additional power too. My question is, is this a reasonably straight forward swap? I've swapped motors and transmissions on American cars like Mustangs and Camaros, but not on a FWD Civic. I can buy a crate motor from PartsTrain.com - Hard to Find Auto Parts and Truck Parts for $1,211.00, but that just a straight replacement for the stock 102 HP turd. If I can upgrade the motor, will that break the transmission? (5 SPD stick)
Experienced advise is greatly appreciated!

If you are going with a b16a2 you will need the trans, ecu, axels, motor mounts, and wire up vtec. It will no bolt up to your stock trans.
