need help

have a 93 dc hatchback, wanting to do a swap and turbo it, thinkin either the b16a2 or b18. i was ready somewhere forget where, but it said if wanting to turbo don't get a vtec. is this true?? if so why? and what kind of internals should i get want to run at least 9lbs boost daily and more on track in possible.

and what turbo's would you suggest?

Thats not true at all. You can use a vtec head when turboing no problem. The b18 has more torque but less hp depending on the engine(c1 and c5 have higher hp but ls motor doesnt). If you go b16 get low comp pistons, hondata or uberdata, rods, and cams, springs, retainers, and better valves wont hurt. psi is not a figure you wanna go by when determining what turbo you want to use. How much whp are you lookin to get from your setup?

Yah...not sure. An LsVtec Turbo done right bro...makes a crap load of power. Im building one right now. Sleeved and bored to a 84mm..so basicly its a B20... Good luck.
 
is price an issue?? if so b16 with t3/t4 turbo and run at around 7psi is fine
