93 prelude w/ jdm h22 swap, knock sensor problems

do the knock sensors ever really go bad?? we just picked up this lude and its throwing the infamous ks code. before the bashing starts ive searched, read on alldata and rewired it to pin d3, with no luck.the ecu is a p13 that was chipped about 5 years ago. i opend it up, its upside down in the case, and has a resistor that looks oddly huge and radioshack like in it. im starting to think its the ecu.any input would be great, this is my first prelude, first h22, and first ks issue ive ddealt with thanks

Yes the knock sensor can go bad...especially on a engine that has come from japan. Sometimes they get damaged in shipping. My H22 was throwing the same code when I first put it in. Swapped out the sensor and no more code
