Can the stock fuel filter be replaced with a universal fuel filter??
 
Anything can be fit with fabrication. don't expect it to work with your car's fittings, or have the right exterior dimensions.

Yea.... I was just gonna take the stock off.... throw in a universal filter, a couple hoses and clamps....
 
Ha- or just buy the right one, they aren't expensive. It's somewhat hard to get to on the 94-97 4 cylinders but not impossible. I'd definitely get new washers from Honda too if I were doing it but I suppose you can just do it on the cheap and report back :p
