OK here is the problem, my accord has an external coil and the prelude has an internal coil, the coil was bad on the prelude so i replaced it with an msd external coil, the wireing is what has me stummped. do i need to hook any wires to the igniter on the prelude or not, also the prelude plug for the distributor is missing a wire, the accord has a green wire that is not present on the prelude plug, can someone help me out??

I haven't done this before, so I could be wrong.

Does the coil require more than a ground and a keyed wire? It seems like you'd just run the black/yellow wire for the positive, which can be found in the extra plug that used to go to your old coil. Then a ground. This would give the coil power with the key.

After that, I think you would need a external style cap, for the main coil wire.

That's how my pickup was. I don't know how much that coil dives into though.:shrug2:

well basically that is what i did, i found the ground and the power and then drilled holes in the cap for them and wired them right up to the coil. well come to find out the coil was bad so i bought an msd coil did the same got it started but something shorted and now the msd coil isnt any good either. i think im just gonna go ahead and buy a usdm dist and use my accord coil. that should fix the problem.

thanks for the help, if anyone has any other solutions or tips it would be appreciated. thanks
