Ok im new here, lol so here we go:

Yeah so I have a piece of crap 1994 civic VX 1.5l vtec-e.
I think this is the weakest engine, lol. It was made for good MPG.
I like the body since its light as hell and what not. I think the motor is a d15z6?
But here's the deal. I want to swap the motor, and have friends that can help with this but I don't know to much about all this crap, so here is a question.
Which motor is better for the $$
    B16 or B18?
and also I know theres a bunch of different motors under the 16 and 18 like b18c1 or w/e
so please people let me know what you think I should do, I only have about 1grand right now. How much do you think I can sell this motor for?
    anything.
    ty

well its gonna take another grand on top of what you have to do a motor swap to a b16 or 18 and you might can sell your stocker for a few hundred bucks. i like the b18 myself more torque.

you should go with a B20B and put a vtec head on it its cheaper than a GSR and a little faster.

the crv is a SUV lol.
and now the b18, theres a bunch like b18a1, b18b1, which one are u refering to when you say b18?
    this crap confuses me.
and so i should save all of my money and not order anything for this vx engine right?

ok sweet, thx for that link.
my brother has a 2002 civic SI
    that has a k20a3 right?
and how good are those in comparison to a b18c1
and b18 is JDM right? so its harder to get right?
and the difference between b18c and c1 is that the c1 is USDM and has 10 hp less right?

    Unless it's swapped to a K, that should have a B16.

There's no way in hell that you're going to put a K20 in your car for a grand...not even close...

Shit, if a grand is all you have to spend, you're not really going to be able to afford anything besides another D-series engine...

correct the 2002 si ha the k20a3 in it the k series is the best motor honda makes but it will take about 3 grand to get it into your car above the cost of the motor and tranny.

I think you should avoid doing anything at all . if youe so uninformed . Many here would disagree with me , but the first upgrades you should do to any car Honda or not , are Brakes and suspension , all the power in the world means nothing if you can't stop or turn

and all the braking power and handling is useless when you have a slow ass vtec-e thats like 90HP that wont ever go above 115mph and its 0-60 in like 15 seconds.

really all the braking and stopping power is useless with a low powered car. thats pretty funny , i understand you want for power trust me , my 95 came with a carburated d15 and an auto , i live in thailand , you want a good swap, b16sirII , but up grade the brakes to match ,
