Can anyone give me a walk-thru on removing the instrument cluster(94 DX) and installing one with a factory tach ? (also a 94)

to remove your instrument cluster you need to remove the two screws under the top lip of the dash, and pull out your hazard button. behind the hazard there is one screw. if you have a clock in your dash it has to come out as well. once done you have to carefully pull out from the top first, once loose there are a few clips around the vent areas (pull carefully). once face is off there are four screws holding the gauge cluster in place(remove), carefully pull out cluster and there will be a clip on each side (2). once cluster is unpluged you should look at your cluster harness, ther should be a yellow clip with the wires inside a yellow sleve this sleve will probably be taped to the harness, so cut the tape and stretch out the sleve. all 5th gen civics are wired for a tach weather it is being used or not. if you have a cluster with a tach then you should notice there is an extra plug in the back, the yellow clip should plug in there and simply install as removed.
