I purchased a 94 dx with a 95 sohc vtec engine. I wanna get rid of it and put in something a bit faster and some more power. any ideas with an engine that will add power? also the pricing issue, the cost. will post pics of it later.

you could rebuild your d-series or swap a b-series, which is the most common swap.

If you just want a DD thats a little faster and you're on a budget go with a b18b or b20b with a GSR or SIR tranny.

If you got more money get a b18c.

If you wanna be stupid fast get an h22
(k20 will also be very fast but will be very difficult and cost around $10k)

If your looking to spend 2-3k (depending on how well you shop) swap B18B. Great swap for the money, and TONS of potential. LS/VTEC or LS-T. Or even all motor LS.

Also look into a B16 swap, another good value.

I think a b16 might be a good one, you say you want a lil more power, and doesnt cost as much as a b18c. Not sure about h22's still havent rode in one.

H22's are very quick. Great value for the money, and a common misconception is that the install is a pain, WRONG. Quite an easy swap, comparable to the B's.
