This should be a really simple question.
I finally broke down, and im doing the 5 speed swap (due to the failing tranny and friendly d16 now chilling in the garage).
The Tranny is out of a 93, but i have read that 92/93 5spd trannys have different half shafts (cv or axle or w/e you want to call it) from the others (tranny is from a d15b7, 93 civic dx).
Is the spline count different from auto to manual on the half shafts as well? (will an auto cv work on a manual tranny? (wow, thats a simpler way to say it)).
I have brand new cv's on my hatch; which is what sparked this question (installed them maybe 3k miles before the tranny slipped in 2nd/3rd gear. losta pretty metal in the pan too)
