I have a 1997 Accord Lx with a 2.2 (279K) and a bad transmission.

I have found a 1995 2.2 engine and transmission. Would it be a clean swap or would there be an issue with OBD and wiring? Thanks for the help

That will require an OBD conversion unfortunately. 96+ is OBD2. 95 and older is OBD1...

Thanks for the quick response. Is the OBD conversion worth the cost? The OBD2 to OBD1 harness + ?? and do they even make a obd2 AT to obd1 AT? I have seen AT to MT only.

The car is my daily driver and I can get the 95 engine and trans (150Kmiles) for $300. I thought a good price for my beater car.

Your in luck 94-97 used the exact same engine harness besides what plugs into the ecu. That was honda's way of saving money all the plugs are the same type just wires different between car chassis. You should be go.
