Haven't been here since I dropped the JDM in my Accord, now it is the Civic's turn.
I have lost compression on 3&4, so at least the head needs redone, at 220K I would end up doing the whole engine. So I am looking for a JDM that doesn't kill my MPG, I wouldn't mind a lil extra HP. JDM D15B Vtec? Other options? Thanks.

OBD1 DOHC ZC bolts right in - more hp and torque than a D15B VTEC - no wiring changes needed

OBD1 DOHC ZC looks like this:

I'd go D15B Vtec from HMotorsonline.com easy to get ahold of. Cheap.

MPG about the same as the D15B7? I honestly rarely excced 3K RPM, so the vtec is no of real use to me. I would love to get the RPMs down on the HWY, but dont think I wasnt to swap trannys or gears to do it. If my MPG would be equal to my current (35-42) I can live with that. Anyone besides HMotorsonline.com to get them from?

Probably, all run about the same price though. I get about 35mpg out of mine and I have the Si tranny with the shorter gears. And I drive the piss out of it.

I am only seeing the 92-95 models, either with 92 HP or black wrinkle valve cover.
