95 civic engine swap

Okay I was givin a 95 Civic with a 1.6L with over 200,000 miles on it. I was wondering what would be the best combo for 300-400 hp. What engine Turbo set up would be good for it and im looking to be as cheap as possible without losing reliability. A buddy of mine said to put a mini me in it can someone give me more insight to that to.Thanks ahead of time for any help

It's fine, but next time post in the right place. As per your question, what's your budget? You say that you want 300-400 horses as cheaply as possible. You realize that speed isn't cheap, right?

The absolute cheapest route is to rebuild the stock single cam and turbo it. You're going to need some decent internal reworking done in order to make that power though.
