95 Gs-r New Tranny, Redlining At 6700. Why?

Ive got a 95 GS-R, rebuilt tranny with JDM finaldrive and when i got it all back together its redlining at 6700. The only code bieng throne is that my Vtec soliniod is or has gone bad. Does anyone have any thoughts as to what i could be?? My friends are stumped as well am I.
