I have a 96 civic that i swapped in a first generation prelude 2.2 in. On the freeway at about 60 mph im doin bout 3000 rpm and at about 80mph im doin close to 4000rpm. Is that normal for that motor or swap? Would it be hurt to drive it at that rpm for a long period of time say like a 2hr drive on the freeway? Anybody else with that same swap have that same problem?

thanks

my prelude is liek 3200 rpm at 65, I drive it everyday 60-100 miles with no problems, but mine is a 1990, all original and slightly grinds 3rd cause I beat the hell out of it just like the previous owners.

If a 15 year old car with the same engine and motor for 175k miles can do it, I think your h22 can too.

i dont think the carbd ones came with a b20, i could be wrong though. I;m not checking either.

Alright guys- stop the shit talk in his thread.

Yeah, you'll be fine. I spin 4400rpm at 80mph with my setup, and I drive 30-40k miles every year. Just make sure your engine is maintained well.
