97 engine noob

hey i own a 97 accord and i want to do an engine swap to make it faster but im not sure what to get, i hear people talking about h22 and f22 and some other letters and numbers that make no sense to me so can someone fill me in and also give me a recommendation on what engine to get? thanks

Your car already has an F22 (assuming the engine is stock). It's a single-cam engine, possibly with VTEC (if your car is an EX model). The H22 is a dual-cam VTEC engine from the Prelude. It's an easy swap; it drops right in and bolts up...
