I recently changed my transmission and I lined up my torque converter onto my plate against the engine block, then I put the transmission shaft into the torque converter and as i try to line it into place i couldnt put the tranny together all the way face to face with block and tranny. So i put the bolt into the slot and decided to tightened the bolt to suck in the difference of a .25 inch gap. and in the end i heard a bite which closed up the gap between the tranny and block. My question is did I screw something up when I tried to close the gap by using force? Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

switched the sensors but the car shifts smooth but the thing is it only shifts if you go past 3500 rpm. Is that another sensor that Im not aware of? Any information would be appreciated.
