99-00 Civic EX OBD2a or OBD2b

Hi there
I bought a OBD2-1 harness convertor off of someone and they are sending it. They obviously have no wits since they do not know what OBD even is . They used it on a CIVC ex, in an article I was reading here it says 99-00 are OBD2b, but in reference it says the 99-00 civic ex are OBD2a. Anyone know for sure?

straight from my helms terminal arrangement section pages 11-88 through 11-96....

Engine/Powertrain Control Module Terminal Arrangement
(96-98 Models "99-00 D16Y5 engine with M/T

and
Engine/Powertrain Control Module Terminal Arrangement
("99-00 models except D16Y5 engine with M/T)



the latter being the 0bd2b

So 99-00 Civics DX, HX, CX, SI, blah blah are all OBD2b, except the ex or D16Y5 Manual?

So the EX or D16Y5 auto is OBD2b? This is crazy stuff

those are the only two terminal arrangements in the 96-00 helms copied word for word

of course in the book nowhere does it say obd2,obd2a,or obd2b
