I have a 99 Civic DX manual tranny and my friend and I installed a 98 EX VTEC engine with a manual tranny ECU. Im using my stock DX ECU cause the EX ECU wouldn't plug in to the existing cars wiring. Now i have a loping idle problem cause we spliced the harness alot just to get the thing running. From what im told is that i need to get a ECU Jumper harness. But i dont know which style of jumper harness to use. I also have a 98 EX engine harness to use but its from a automatic tranny and im not sure if it will fit. And what other steps are needed to get my motor running correctly.
