There is only one user name on my laptop. It's the Administrator(Me) and it has a password. I am literally the only person that uses my laptop, ever. But I'll try the setup thing.

Logging into safe mode would make no difference in disabling hardware like that.

If its a dell, when you first turn on the screen... Like when it says DELL On the screen... Look for a note that says "Press F2 to Enter Setup".. It may say f2, escape, DEL (NOT BACKSPACE), or CTRL ENTR.

OK I did that and I think it may work. But what do I change it to? Right now it is "Touchpad-Ps-2 Mouse". I can change it to either "Serial Mouse" or "Ps-2 Mouse". Which one would disable the touchpad and allow for me to use my wireless mouse?


EDIT: Trial and error owns me. I put it on "Serial Mouse" and it disable the Touchpad and still allowed me to use the Wireless one. Thanks for the help ScrapinSi.

You must have explained it better in this one because I'm kind of pissed I dealt with the problem for soo long when it was such an easy fix. But whatever, it's great to not have to fight with it.
