Accord ECU's What works with what?

Can anyone tell me what ECU's will work in my 1996 Accord EX manual trans? 2.2L vtec. Can you only use the exact same one? The serial code on it is 37820-P0H-L01. Thanks

Just use the one that goes with the motor...

well i fried mine and i looked on ebay and they go for 250. While other version may only go for 100 or less. So if anyone has this info let me know

Yeah, that's the one that's going to work best. You want one from another 96 or 97 EX model. The 94-95 ECU's (or anything before 96 really) won't work because it's a different OBD setup. You could use a DX/LX/SE ECU, but your VTEC won't function. I have no clue how well it would run on a 98+ ECU, but I'd be willing to bet not as well as on the proper one designed for the motor...

Is E-Bay the only place you're looking? Try Craigslist and local import tuner forums (if you have any). Somebody might have a leftover ECU from an H22 swap or something that they might be looking to unload for cheap...
