Accord Shift Knob Removal

Are there any 5th-gen Accord owners here who can tell me how to remove the shift knob on one of these cars? I've got a knock-off CTR knob and a boot here that I want to put in my 94 EX sedan, but I can't figure out how to take the old knob off. Any suggestions?

if it's anything like my Si, you hve to take the center console off because the boot is attached to the console as well as the knob itself by a twin clip piece that screws onto the bottom of the knob itself...

njust pull the boot down, its clipped to the bottom of the knob. it will just pop out of the bottom of the knob. then you can just thread the knob off
