I was wondering how to advance my timing on my 88' prelude si. i think this is the problem why it's been running bad lately.

just like he said, losen the bolts and just move it towards the firewall. but do beware of over advanced timing... you can advance to a certain point and then actually loose power. when my timing belt was loose and all that and i put in a new belt i forgot to check the timing..when that time came i was at 20 degrees (stock on mine is 16degrees) so i put it down to 15 (dont ask why) and i did notice a power increase at top end.

cam timing and ignition timing are different.

cam timing is more overlap settings than spark and combustion... i'm explaining this all wrong, but you get the idea lol
