aftermarket crossmember-problem

dang this z10 crossmember only lined up on one side and we stripped the bolt holes trying to force it ftl.(either my frame is tweaked a bit or the design is off a little,probably both imo)
i'm gonna have to find someone to weld it in or something...

my question is would that be ok to have it welded on or should i have someone try to make new threads/holes?

Welding is always better. Unless you planon taking it out at some point...

i was gonna do that,but some body shop guy told me that it wouldnt hold..

maybe he didnt know what i was talking about,i dunno.

weld or re-thread

you can get a re thread kit relatively cheap and do it yourself thats what I would do because it would give me peace of mind knowing it was installed properly.^_^
