Air Conditioning

    so i put ac in my car.. and it works and all.. but when i do turn it on.. my idle drops about 300-400 rpms.. it feels like my car is about to die.. any help..??

    Compressor runs off the crack pulley, turn it on it adds strain to the system, though it shouldn't drop that low, maybe the belt is too tight?

    yea maybe.. should the ac belt be tightened the same as my alternator belt//?

    Some play, about half an inch either direction.

    the ELD in the distributor should pick up that a/c has been turned on and raise your idel. perhaps something is wrong there...

    what is the ELD..?? what does it stand for..??
