I have installed a D16z6 into an '89 DX Hatchback but I am unsure what air intake I should use. It looks like I would have to do a little bit of custom stretching and trimming to get the stock '89 DX airbox and hose to reach the D16Z6 throttle body. Would a '92-'95 Si/EX or '88-'91 Si air intake fit better? If I get an aftermarket CAI, should I get one that fits a '92-'95 or the '88-91? Also, what CAI would you recommend. I am in California so it would have to be CARB certified.

I would get the air intake for the car, Most likely the SI intake will fit because it has similar TB size as you z6. But that can be changed if depending on what sleeve you use for the TB. Just make sure its for a crx.
