This guy was in a couple of good songs, but he was not the featured singer in any of them. His first album sucked, I will not buy his second album and haven't heard anything good about it. He is basically just a lucky bastard who hooked up with the right people early on.
Everybody is always grouping 50 cent into the "lucky break" pile, but he was doing mixtapes in NY for years before he went major label. He's also making really great business descions and really toning down on the whole tough guy act. He may be a mediocre rapper, but you can't deny that he has a great sense for multi-million dollar business deals.
Back to the og topic, Akon is a joke really. I hope he gets sued for a mill+ and thinks before he goes tossing teenage kids into crowds.
