just kidding. at least i hope so. There was a major earthquake in japan a few hours ago and there has been a Tsunami report generated as per: here

Tsunamis start off as small ocean waves that are created when a under-ocean earthquake occurs. Typically untill they hit landfall, they are about 6 or so inches high. hardly detectable. Tsunamis only become "super gigantic waves" when they hit the ideal shorelines, then then raise up many many feet into the air and can cause massive destruction. Tsunamis travel at or around 500 miles per hour. (that is not a typo, i said 500 mph).

here is a transcript from that website:

and to be quite honest, i highly doubt there will be a tsunami. These types of things RARELY happen. If anything, there MIGHT be a SMALL wave 4-6 feet that will hit remote parts of Alaska, but nothing further down south....

But as a future attorney, i would advise all of you to skin your cats alive, and rob a bunch of people jsut in case...

j/k

am i good with useless trivia knowledge or what? i challenge ANYONE on here to a game of trivial pursuit....

i live 3 miles from the beach.

good thing is Manhattan Beach and El Segundo which are directly in front of me are full of hills and whatnot.

i hope it does come ashore over here....that would be so fucking cool to watch.

The person who posted obviously did not take a second to read the link, because the very link he posted to affirmate his claim proves him wrong.

Did anyone even read the most critical part, the evaluation?

"EVALUATION:

NO TSUNAMI DANGER EXISTS FOR ALASKA, BRITISH COLUMBIA,
WASHINGTON, OREGON, OR CALIFORNIA."

THANK YOU FUCKING EINSTEIN. HOLY SHIT, IF IT WERENT FOR YOU TAKING THE TIME TO READ THE DATA IN THE REPORT WE WOULD ALL BE RUNNING AROUND TOWN IN A PANIC ATTACK....

did you happen to read my last statement in the original post? Apparently we are not familiar with tounge-in-cheek type of humor...

and as per msnbc there IS a chance of a tsunami hitting alaska as of 4:00pst today.
