alt. fuse keeps blowing after swap

my friends 91 civic hb. the one i did the MPFI swap on. we just swapp'd in a SOHC ZC. we used the alt. from his D16a6(since the ZC didn't have one). this swap is a basic swap. out with the old in with the new!!

well we go and turn the car on to the "on" position(not running). and the alt. fuse(#14 fuse) blows. we change it. we do it again. it blows! then we add a 30amp(thats all we had left laying around!)fuse and do it again. it blows!!

hmmm.........any clues?

we check'd all the grounds and sensor wires. everything seems good.

check your grounds, crossed wires, and go over evertyhign you changed 5 more times.

i think that a bad ELD or ECU can cause this also but check alt wires first. first i would try unhooking alt and the wires and starting the car that way just keed the big white wire from grouding out in any way shape or forum.
