I would get it too if i was even close/had extra cash. I have seen some really nice civic wagons when done up a bit.

I like the Wagons, I would drive it. My friend has a pretty sweet Wagovan, let me see if find a pic.

lol i had one of those on my junkyard with no title. we used to rip it through the wood like a truck!
 
Probably be good car just to drive around with friends. As far as modifying them, I probably wouldn't do it...just leave it stock. I'm not even a fan of those RT-AWD set ups(forgive my lack of care for drag racing).
