Well, I'm trying to put the ball joint back in the lower control arm, and I'm having difficutly. It looks like the axle shaft is all the way in, the WSS is lined up with the teeth on the axle. and I put the impact on the axle nut.

Any suggestions? I've taken axles out numerous times before but never on a Honda, and haven't had this problem.

did you unstake the nut? they are not easy to get off, the will take some work, use a good breaker bar to get some leverage.

look at it and you will see where the nut is pressed into a divit (for lack of a better word) in the axle shaft. get a phillips head screw driver or a chisel and pry it out. the nut is pretty soft so be somewhat gentle with it. if you end up tearing it or something dont worry about it, those are only 5-6 dollars at a part store
