they tested it on a soch and it dynoed at 170hp to the wheels at 6-7psi. it cames with a spearco intercooler and the victor x intake manifold and a tial bov. the turbo is a t-28. anyone know nything else about it?

hell ya its way overpriced, but the quality it real nice.

It's overpriced because of all the extra's it comes with.

Complete fuel system, new intake manifold to take advantage of the new boosted power curve, plus the fact that it's from the world's largest manufacturer of aftermanrket performance parts as a whole... Edelbrock!

It's almost like Nike, Reebok, Adidas, Timberland, and Doc Martins...

You get what you pay for, and you pay for what you get.

how much does a homemade turbo kit usually end up costing? most greddy, etc kits are around $3500, right? (at least for b16 or b18) seems like DIY would be cheaper, but really, im not sure...thanks@

the greddy kit makes 155hp on the d16. It cost around $2000. $12.903 per horsepower. the b16 kit cost the same but makes 217hp.

the edelbrock kit is $3500, 170hp. $20.59 per horsepower.

with that extra $1500 you can get fuel upgrade, boost controller, and BOV; the TD04h is rated 260hp.

the edelbrock kit comes with a boost controler and a bov.

yes but for the same amount of money you spend on the edelbrock kit, you can make the greddy kit go up to 260hp on the sohc engine.

It also comes with pillar mounted boost guage, an oversized spearco intercooler, and alot of other stuff the Greddy kit doesnt. Not that the Greddy kit isnt a good buy or a good unit, people need their options. Oh, and if anyone is interested in the Edelbrock turbokit give me an email, I may be able to get you a deal on one. And...? If anyone wanted one but didnt want to pay $3600+ for it...what if you could get it shipped for around $3150?
