Anyone Use Dump Tubes?

i just finished my custom turbo project on my LS, i was wondering if letting the wastegate dump under hood raises engine heat. anyone have any info or tips on using dump tubes?

i plan to just let mine dump right there at the gate. colorpro's has a nice custom dump to the front bumper

If you wanna keep your engine bay free of exhaust carbon you will wanna use a dump tube. There pretty cheap these days, If you have a welder i would reccomend just making yourself one..
