Just out of curiosity, does anyone use Jack3d as a workout supplement?
Superpump 250 is what I've been using for a while. Its good stuff. I'm up 21 lbs since february.
Im trying something else starting tomorrow however, will post back if its any good.
I've used Jack3d, amongst numerous other pre-workout supps.
Jack3d worked really well for about a week. I was extremely focused and energized. After the first week I found myself taking 2-3x the recommended serving (I wasn't feeling anything on the recommended amount), and it basically didn't do anything anymore.
I like Superpump 250, that seemed to last fairly long before I stopped feeling the effects.
I have also tried One More Rep, GNC's Pump Fuel, and a couple other random pre workouts. I am no longer using anything besides a cup of coffee before the gym (if I feel like I need it) and that seems to work for me.
I only use Jack3d every other day. How often were you using it? One of my coworkers cycles it every month "one on, one off."
I have a basic immunity to caffeine, so a cup of coffee would do nothing but fill my stomach.
I have a protein shake about 90 minutes before I go to the gym, probably 40-50g of protein. 30 minutes before workout, I take 2.0 to 2.5 scoops of jack3d while I stretch. After stretching, I feel good enough to do two 45 minute sessions of TKD back-to-back. I go home and in about 30 minutes have another 40-50g of protein, stretch, then do drills. I then eat a 'normal meal' ie: healthy food, high in carbs and natural fats.
Then I want to go to sleep. So far I've been using Jack3d for a week and it's working pretty well (maybe placebo, but I still get the tingling.) If/when it stops, I'll look into other stuff. I'm thinking about adding some creatine to my workout-day regimine.
Their website is pretty clear on cycling.
I've puked off too much superpump before. That stuff takes a while to digest.
I just got done cycling superpump 250. It's similar. pre-workout supp.
My gf's lil bro just started jack3d last week. He's not little, by anymeans, 6'5 250 and pretty lean. We'll see if he gets huge like he wants. (he's a monster now)
And to the above. Yes creatine is a minimum. Try stacking it with beta-alanine.
So on my off days, should I be using creatine?
I read about the cycling, but I didnt even continue use after my first tub.
Maybe I need to try Jack3d again, without caffeine in my diet. It seemed to have the best effects on me while at the gym. It actually lasted my whole workout, as opposed to many others that would end with me feeling extremely tired towards the last few sets.
Good info in here. Ill be needing it soon.
One question. Why soo much protein in one serving?
I was told your body can only use about 20-30g in a serving.
Hmm maybe this is true.
I always take 50g servings x2 per day.
I think the word cycling is waaaaaaaaaaaaay over used when it comes to supplementation. Like, I think it makes people feel cooler about the off-the-shelf supplements they try.
"Ya bro I cycle creatine crazy on offs yo"
A cycle traditionally refers to a series of steroidal supplements used in conjunction with one another, often with rest periods in between to allow your HPTA to start working on it's own or to give your renal system a break.
Do you cycle coffee, , RockStar, eggs, steak, brown rice?
These things contain many of the vitamins, proteins, amino acids, and carbs that all those supps. do. Red meat is a great source of creatine and tons of other aminos.
Stop saying you are cycling nitric products and aminos. Either do REAL supps or STFU.
Been taking superdump 250 for the last 4 months. No cycling here
I understand your logic. I can't throw down for d'bol and the like and I'm not a huge fan of the idea of using gear so I haven't gone down that road yet.
At that, when I reference cycling I mean 8-10 weeks of training cycles. That's an entire lifting program though. 8-10 weeks of a certain style/type of lifting with a certain stack to supplement that type of workout. Only reason I use the term cycle.
Right now I'm just starting a *cut*cycle. As it literally refers to me cutting out carbohydrating, increasing reptitions of workouts and cardio in my workout. Not too much cardio but workout design.
At that, creatine should be used always pretty much on lifting days, not days off. Loading can be a gimic, but some recommend it. In conjunction with beta-alanine it is very helpful and should be a basis for all working out. Like you said. Brown rice, rockstars. Should be apart of your diet with a multi-vitamin, and fishoil, etc.
A quick blog on the combination if you will
Fuck cycling. The only reason Jack3d recommends cycling is to bring your stimulant tolerance back down to a manageable level.
That being said: I like Jack3d because I can keep up with the 12 and 14 year olds in my TKD classes.
I'm going to do some research and see if maybe I shouldn't be using so much protein. I remember reading somewhere that you should take 1g of protein for every pound of body mass. Maybe I misinterpreted it.
So maybe that's right...
Which is essentially me. So I'm thinking that ~100g of protein a day on workout days is correct. I cut it down to ~50g/day on off days.
I totally get what you are saying. I wasn't referring specifically to you. Just that, the industry as a whole like to promulgate the notion that you are "getting on the CYCLE!!! RAWWRGH!!" in their advertising and promotions.
"Stack" is another one of these words...."Try new supermonster STACK! RAWRGH!"
In reality it's as intense as stacking meats and cheese and lettuce on a sandwich.
Cycle = stopping and starting anything
Stack = Taking any two or more supps at the same time.
As it was explained to me, it doesnt hurt to take in more protein in one serving, but it doesnt do anything for you. The body cant absorb the excess.
And your right, about 1 gram for every pound of body weight. My target weight is 150 lbs, so I eat 150 grams a day.
Separate names with a comma.
