so yeah. its april fools and i just thought about what to do to my techs this morning. my cousins going to tow one of my techs cars from his house in a few hours and bring it here since my cousin has a tow truck business. then i've filled the main shop air lines with flour. theyre 1 inch mostly and i have air line couplers hooked to the line couplers to keep the lines open. the main ball valve to the main lines at the compressor (which is 80 gallons) is closed. i'll fill the compressor in the morning for one of my guys to pull the main ball valve and hopefully all the flour will come out the air lines at 125 psi. (theres 8 air lines). just a last minute thing since i was bored. :D

yeah i'm not a regular shop owner. i used to be just a regular tech once too :) i still wrench on cars regularly too. its not too serious around here as long as the customers cars get done right the first time. i just hope the flour comes out the way i hope it will. i dont wanna get hung up with no compressor for the day cause theres flour in the lines still when its time to get to work

try putting flour in just ONE line that way you dont screw up all the lines at once. I think the water in the compressor tank will spoil your fun though.

he could clean the lines, but it would affect his shops productivity. Better to shut off one line then all IMO.

I have to think of something to do today, but my brain is dead weight right now. Couldn't fall asleep last night until after 3:30 and I was up at 6. Maybe I'll let Google be creative for me.

I'm going to prank my butthole by sitting on the toilet with my pants on.

We'll see who has the last laugh!

On pranking topic, how come I haven't seen someone remove a valve stem in like 10 years. Thats always a good one with a very easy fix.

My happy ass has to road trip it today to one of our clinics two hours away. I won't be able to do anything cool today. Plus I work at a hospital. They don't take to kindly to capturing all the squirles that run around on campus and being released in someones office.

first, i you're not talking about the ends of the air lines just swinging freely cause that could fuck someone up if it hit

and i dont know the ramifications of flour in air tools, if by chance all the flour does not make it out

EFFIN WORKED GREAT!!! however the guys are still takin apart a few air lines furthest away from the compressor because we think they have blockage. all the lines are on hose reels except fer the sandblast cabinet which has its own ball valve and was closed. water wasnt supposed to be an issue because we have a main inline dryer that holds two pounds of those little moisture absorbant pellets. yeah its effin huge and those pellets cost like 50 bucks to replace. we also drain the compressor nightly which i end up doing mostly since i stay late tinkerin with stuff alot or because the guys are just in a hurry to get out of the shop. i was concerned about their air tools getting screwed up so i was hoping all the flour came out. the line which i had pulled off the reels a little were zip tied to allow them to swing freely but not hit anything damageable. (i had thought of that) the water and flour never crossed my mind to equall glue though. so now were cleaning up and messin with the far lines. we checked them with a regulator on the end of the line and they were low. i think the line into the reel may be clogged. gonna have to send a guy to grainger to get a few more if we cant fix these in the next 20 minutes. but i gotta go help em because i'm a guy short since i towed his car at 4 AM. the cars here but hes not. and he hasnt called to explain why he will be a little late LOL i hope hes alright
