Are all B16 heads the same?

I am planning to build a B20/vtec. The question I have is: Are all B16 heads and manifolds the same? Are some years better than others? I have access to a blown engine out of a 2000 civic Si (B16a), or should I go for an ealier year?

I've been told anything from a B series engine will bolt to any other B series engine.

best bet is to get one that matches your obd of your car. it will makke wiring a breeze.

The cast are the same, but they may have used lighter or higher rated springs in the JDM ones that run a higher compression, but that is just a random thought. Other than that yea they are the same.

all the PR3 heads are literally the same, the itr gets a mild polish from the factory.

different years of B16 have different sensors, i think at least my OBD-1 B18A1 from a 93 LS had two more sensors on it as opposed to my OBD-0 head from a 90 LS
