I'm looking for a carburated DOHC engine to swap into my 84 CRX...Anyone know if those B21 in the older preludes were carburated?

B21A1 wasn't, but the B20A3 was, also the earlier Prelude motors, like the EK1, ES1, were also.

Do the carbed motors have any advantages over the fi? I know a v8 with a 4 barrel can be very potent but wondering about a small i4?

advantages = simplier wiring, but pain in the dick to tune a carb...

4 barrel v8 can be potent, but so can a fuel injected v8...
FI is more reliable, better and more accurate tuning, but a lot more wiring problems...

If you get a chance read Bisi's feelings on the issue, very interesting from the chemical engineer perspective...
