are zc and usdm gears interchangeable?

I was told that in order to use the zc 1st and 2nd, you have to change to the mainshaft from a zc trans. This was by the guy from Gearspeed. 3rd, 4th, and 5th are fine though

since 1st and 2nd are part of the mainshaft and not removeable, yes, you need to change the mainshaft - not a problem though
