arp head stud problem

i have a gsr and i am replacing the head gasket so i decided to get new arp head studs and i put them all in hand tight put on the block then try to screw in the nut ,1 of the bolts are longer then the others is this normal? should it be in a different spot?

remove all studs and then use a thread chaser to clean the threads then try again. also did you apply the moly lube or 30 weight oil?

The block threads must be clean sow the stud gos all the way down and use oil on the theads

no i didnt the only thing i put on the studs were was the lube taht came with the arp studs

Thats your problem, you need a thread chaser to clean the threads. Clean the threads with a thread chaser and then re try. It should say on the instructions what size thread chaser to use.

Also the instructions say hand tighten and then give it a 1/4 turn with a allen wrench.
