arp rod bolts

    gsr pistons, ls rods. making the rods fit the pistons so which rod bolts should i get.

    What do rod bolts have to do with the fitment? You've gotta get 1mm machined off each side of the top of the rod, where the wristpin goes.

    ARP # 208-6001 is 8mm for 1.2L to 1.8L

    ARP # 208-6401 is 9mm for 1.8L

    If I remember correctly, the ls rods use the 8mm bolts and the gsr and type R rods use the 9mm (one of the reasons the ls rod bolts are the main weak point)

    I cant seem to find the reciept so can anyone confirm that it's the 8mm ones

    I guess with the LS rods he would use the 8mm, yes. That's what I would sell him anyway.... :p

    i used 8 mm arp rod bolts for my lsvtec w/ ls rods.

    thanks thats what i thought but didnt want to assume and kill the motor
