I tape my plate off at Autocross for just this reason... I work with Geico, and in their building have seen bulletin boards with signs saying "look for policyholders that are racing! They are being fraudulent to the company!"... I have a real good mind to find the person that makes that and tell them to get it straight...

And FYI, if you are participating in an HPDE, and wreck your car... Your insurance company CAN NOT cancel or refuse to pay for it... Because you are at a DRIVERS SCHOOL... I heard some guy totalled his Viper at Lime rock 2 years ago, and was like OMG WHAT AM I GOING TO DO..> And the instructor told him to call his insurance company and say he was at a driving school when it happened... They paid.

I also am going to look into using a fake name at Autocross this year to further help my cause. Ron Jeremy anybody?
