Okay you audiophiles. My gf's system got picked, but luckily she was covered by her insurance. I did the install the first time and I used some shit ass wires from Wal-Mart. Now I want to do it right since a stereo store is doing it for free :D .
I just want to know what brand of wires do you guys suggest? I was leaning towards the name brands like Street Wire, MTX, or watever. Or do i even need the name brands?

unless you have a serious money system i would say just stick with any wires, brand name or not

i've used walmart amp kits in 4 of my cars, and never had a problem with any of them... even used walmart kit for rockford fosgate amps and subs and shit...

unless you have like a 5000 system i doubt you will notice any diffrence unless you are a real audio junkie and can distinguish every decibel in the human hearing spectrum...

edit: if its free get the most expensive wires...

:clapping: Dumb ass cant count

I like fosgate.

Thanks guys.
When i meant shitty, i mean shitty. Most of the wires were taken from other speakers and they were just too skinny. And the RCA cables looked like shit. THe ground wire was red and use to be a power wire.. lol.. so it was a really halfed ass job.
Most wiring kits ive seen around like 100 bucks.. thats a lot.. but if its a lot better than those 50 or even 30 ones.. get the 100 ones?

i would get the 1400 watt kit from walmart
its cheap, comes with lots of good shit, including a 4 gauge power wire, with distribution block, as well as 2 rca's, and a fuse for the power...

and until you have an escort starter cable hooked up for a ground then its not ghetto... red wire for a ground is just lazyness, lol, black tape the slut, wire is wire...

but i highly advise serious gauge wire for subs

but once again, if its someone elses dime then get the most expensive

Those Walmart kits are good? I am going to go with that one then I just have not heard anything about those. Thanks.

I second the Monster Cable, movement. Its what Im using... my system is simple...

2-Pairs Kenwood Excelon 6.5"s
1-JL 12W3 Sub
1-JL 250.1 Amp
All Monster Cable Wiring (2 awg Power/Ground, 10 Gauge Amp-Speaker, 16 awg HU to in door Speakers)

Makes since to me.... he going to count how many times he kicks you sqaure in the nuts.

lmao... fudge pack...

not er... just pack
bahahaha

and yea, wires are all the same basically
they flow electric, and the bigger gauge flows more

the walmart kit comes with a lot of stuff, if you bought it individually it would be well over what they charge... and scosche is a decent company

i;m not comparing scosche to any of those fancy gold connector wires and shit... so don;t flame
