with the new cahhhhh! you guys can check out my tight welding skills.

its gonna be interesting. the car handles TOTALLY different even though its the same chassis.

The autocross was ok.

I did everything right in the WRX and still got my ass handed to me by everyone outside of Novice classes. Can't figure this shit out. Ever since giving up the Supra I haven't been able to get into the top3 of anything - the CRX got me into 2 2nd places - and that's it.

Tin cupping.

The WRX handles like the Supra with a bucket of glue on the tires. It's lag can be measured with a sundial and shifting it was fruitless. I did 2nd gear the whole time. Luckily the traction meant that I never had to go below 20 mph.

It was a REAL high speed course. I've never seen a course that high speed. 2 Slaloms. Good times.

Anyway, wrap up: Chris' car came pretty close to flipping more than 10 times per run, but he held on and walked away with respectable times. Iggy with his Corolla VE was a consisten 5 seconds behind me, but when an autocross pro got behind the wheel he beat my best time by 4 full goddam seconds. Which means that it is me.

Great.

you just need more seat time. don't blame the car- blame your self :D

me, i lost a lot of desire to auto cross lately... i dunno

flipping, bull :)

iggy and i had a wicked scary encounter with a high speed slide and tractor trailer though. we were... feeeet from it. the red car has so much ass wiggle you would think it was RWD. next mods? advans on the back and a rear sway.

that neon you guys picked up is amazing! looks like ass but hauls!

unfortunately without those mods i need that i listed above i wont be able to catch it :p

No, it was definately me. Someone took Igor's Corolla out and beat my time by an embarassing margin.

I need another test and tune day so I can just go out and get to the bottom of what I'm doing wrong. I was untouchable in the Supra - what the hell happened ?

the guy who took igors corolla had been autocrossing an older corolla for many many years. plus, it was a fun run. it wasn't official.

looking forward to next time. i could not go b/c i dont have a full exhaust on my car. next time, next time.

I'm gonna start doing more FCSCCS and Westchester stuff. The CART folks are just way too stuffy. 10 minutes to decide the semantics of my girlfriend's signature and what it means to do a fun run.

There needs to be a way to be more open to newbies and those considering the sport.

i believe i've ranted about the cart staff/rules before.... and i feel you. They are ruiing themselves by running themselves the way they do.
